Power in Solidarity: HawaiiAnnouncing Learning Tour Dates!

Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP), Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP), and Native Hawaiian Philanthropy (NHP) are pleased to announce that the Power in Solidarity Hawaii Learning Tour will kick-off Monday, September 29, 2025 and run through Friday October 3, 2025 - with an optional add-on through Sunday, October 5, 2025. Applications for the tour and a six-month fellowship will be released soon.

The tour will commence on Oahu and continue on to Maui. While the AAPIP, NAP, and NHP teams work to build out a power itinerary, Native Hawaiian community organizations should know that invitations to be a part of Power in Solidarity Hawaii will come directly from staff associated with one of the three philanthropy-serving organizations.

Moreover, AAPIP, NAP, and NHP will not be asking any participating organization to sign a data sharing agreement or MOU requiring that organization to share any portion of the funding they might receive from introductions made via Power in Solidarity Hawaii. If you receive any emails about our tour or fellowship from anyone outside of our three organizations please reach out to aloha@nativehawaiianphilanthropy.org.

Power in Solidarity Hawaii is an effort to highlight Native Hawaiian priorities and assets and encourage grantmakers to increase philanthropic investments in Hawaii. The key components include a learning tour, a yearlong virtual learning series, and a new report on foundation funding for Native Hawaiian communities.

In solidarity,

Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP)

Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP)

Native Hawaiian Philanthropy (NHP)
