NHP is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to improving the socio-economic conditions of Native Hawaiian communities
Mission Statement
Mission of NHP:
1. Bridge the Philanthropic Sector with Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOʻs) and communities.
2. Capacity Building & Incubator in partnership with Native Hawaiian communities and organizations to support, promote and perpetuate Hawaiian culture and values.
3. Native Hawaiian Fund to support multi-year funding to assist in the sustainability of NHOʻs in supporting native Hawaiian communities.
Our objectives include:
A) Engagement and Understanding: The organization strives to increase the active participation and understanding of Native Hawaiian and Hawaii communities with philanthropic funders and organizations.
B) Empowerment: NHP aims to empower Native Hawaiian communities by providing resources and support to enhance the socio-economic conditions of Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOs) and the wider lāhui (people/nation).
C) Cultural Support: NHP is committed to supporting projects and organizations that are culturally grounded, focusing on the promotion and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture, practices, health, well-being, and inherent rights.

Native Hawaiian Storytelling Program: Writer's Immersive: A program designed to provide training and resources to nurture and empower Native Hawaiian storytellers, enhancing their craft and preserving cultural narratives.

Native Hawaiian Storytelling Program: Music Video Production for Youth: This initiative offers three-week summer workshops for Maui youth aged 12-19, focusing on music video production and creative expression through storytelling.

AIAI - Artificial Intelligence Accessibility & Integration Program: A workforce development initiative that equips Native Hawaiians with training opportunities in AI technology, fostering skills for the future job market.

Maui Ola: Sacred Spaces for Disaster Recovery: A program that provides community workshops featuring cultural classes, lomilomi (massage), mental health advocacy, and engaging youth activities to support survivors of the Maui wildfires.
